FOR 50+ HOURS OF VOLUNTEER WORK

Community involvement is an important part of the organization’s Mission and Blake McCoy’s life

Knoxville, TN (July, 2014)– AARP Services Inc., a for-profit subsidiary of AARP that oversees providers and the products offered to its members, recognizes Blake McCoy for his 50+ hours of volunteer service in the community.

Blake McCoy has displayed exceptional community service in Knoxville and the surrounding counties, by volunteering and supporting numerous senior citizen organizations. He is also a recognized leader in his field and serves on the O’Connor Center Advisory board.

“We beleive in the power of one,” says John Wider, president of AARP Services Inc. “One AARP encouraging members ‘to serve, not to be served,’ which was one of AARP founder Dr. Ethel Percy Andrus’ mottos, and the power of one person in their community to make a difference.”

AARP Services Inc. tracks the volunteer service hours of agents who are authorized to offer AARP-branded products and who engage and serve the community.

“I am honored to be recognized by AARP and ASI for the hours of community service I performed,” said Blake McCoy. “And I look forward to continuing to volunteer.”

Blake McCoy, is the Founder and CEO of Independent Insurance Consultants, an independent insurance firm, that assists senior citizens with their insurance and financial needs. He has a passion to educate, help, and learn from the senior citizen community.
